LO4: Audience Feedback

The purpose of getting feedback from the class is to get it from the same age group for our target audience and hopefully get quality fedback which will decide upon changes in our music video. We will
be gaining feedback from  survey monkey from the rest of our class.

We got a variety of results from our audience feedback, this helped us to compete our finished product as we used their feedback. For example one person told us to show more distinct transitions between the narrative and performances in our video. We acted on this feedback for example through the editing stage we therefore played more around with the transitions and used dissolve a lot to show a clear change between scenes and location. After getting this feedback, it made our video better as it allowed it to look more professional and a smooth editing stage through from the beginning to the end.

From our feedback, everyone also agreed what genre of music it is and that the narrative matched the lyrics of the song. Therefore from getting the feedback as it a positive we didn't have to alter anything as it was clear enough for the audience to understand.

Although we did have some different answers for example one of them being that most of the narrative was clear but thought one of the scenes could have been clearer. We then acted upon this feedback and  added an extra scene in of what was on the note so it was more clear for the audience to read.

One of our questions we asked the audience was if our live shots matched up with the audio, all of our answers was responded with yes. Therefore we dint need to alter any of the live shots to make them better.

We also got a mixture of answers when asked to rate our video with 81.82 percent rating it 8-10 and 18.8% rating it 4-7. This feedback was in relation to finishing our final piece as it allowed us to get our finished product better. We therefore acted upon the feedback which was rated between 4-7 as we carried on editing our music video to make it of a higher rating.

One of our questions which showed a qualitative answer was asking the audience to suggest any improvements. One of the most popular answers was showing a variety of different shots. Therefore as being one of our most popular answers we acted upon this feedback and added a wider variety of shots for example more close ups on the actors to make it more interesting. Also having an insert shot in our video which ended up being something important in a later scene which showed a note the protagonist wrote to the other.

We also had some suggestions to improve on our video for example one response being that they could hear the audio from the actors and the song at the same time, this was a fault so we therefore edited our the audio of the character talking as it wasn't there intentionally. This could have confused some of the audience if we left it in.

Overall, gathering feedback from our intended target audience was helpful when editing our finished final product as it allowed us to change things which the audience suggested to make it more clear of entertaining. We therefore acted upon all the feedback which they suggested.
